Not so chill,
The neighborhood
On that hill

Manicured

Tensions rise
In narrowing eyes
Ever more lies

Envy, hate
Behind every gate
No differences worth their weight

And I gaze from below
And I wonder, what am I missing here?
For a brief moment, I feel

Like an old marble set, incomplete
But what did I expect
A reject
Not a hope,

Not a chance to lead that scripted life

Without the means
To reach it now
That path is lost
And I ask,
How can I write my own story?

Everyone
Fits the bill
But tops the next
On that hill

Collecting dreams
Reap and sow
Spheres of glass
Just for show

More and more
They build up a store
As if it was war

Rarest finds
Of fancy designs
Encapsulating all kinds

And I see just a few rolling down that hill
A lucky break for me
For a brief moment, I feel

Hope
Maybe this is the chance that I need
The stage is set for me
Breaking free
Swirling 'round

Colors unique to those open eyes

I have a thought,
Though I'm no whiz
I pick one up

Is there meaning in this for me?
