Navigation Miku

When I heard the theme for this year's snow Miku contest I immediately thought nautical. Sailors and explores used the night stars to figure out where they were, and what time it was. I made her circle skirt a compass to show navigation. The astrolabe is one of the many tools used for mapping and navigating the stars, and I wanted to incorporate this into her design. I made her astrolabe into a purse (dual purpose!) with the Hakodate star on the back, to tie her design to Hokkaido. As for her hair, I just really like brown and teal together, and thought that it would stand out as unique. Unfortunately, I will admit, due to my current schedule I had very little time to work on this and rushed to finish. I hope you enjoy this design as much as I do.
