Across the River

1960年代後半を意識した曲です。Procol Harum風のオルガン演奏を用いてみたいと思い作りました。曲調の違う終盤部分や、ラジオ音源の使用など、色々と実験的な試みをしました。
終盤の音声はパブリックドメインとなったラジオ放送の音源です。まるで未来を予見したかのような、"It seems to me better to communicate than to sit by the machine silently."のくだりは衝撃的でした。

This song features the classical organ playing which derives from Procol Harum's style. I intended to make this song sound like one of the experimental songs in the late 60's.
I used a public domain recording of an old SF radio program. When I first listened to it, I was surprised to hear the foreseeing passage: "It seems to me better to communicate than to sit by the machine silently."
