Necromancy and meddling with the past comes at a price. I wanted to depict a truly Gothic Horror Miku who has lost herself after raising the dead with the use of forbidden spells and songs.

Like the concept of the 'sublime', I aimed for this design to have an imposing feeling. So, Miku sits on top of a mountain of skeletons, making her appear even larger than she is. The reoccuring pattern of the diamond with the vertical stripe is a play on Miku's '01', used to envoke a more ominous mood.

My personal favorite aspects in her design include the skull-shaped sleeves, the gothic church window-inspired embrodery on her torso, as well as her silhouette, which was my main focus. I had a lot of fun working on the Gothic Horror theme, and finishing this piece taught me a lot.
