"Goodbye, Bethlehem"/NMM

Gazing up at the stars, so bright, I was enamored with their grace
Had spent years, in search for, that exact glimmer

Then one night, the sky fell, hit the earth
O say, can you see that same star which leads us to Bethlehem?

That night, when we dreamt of a new ray of light,
When we saw that twinkling little star from the nursery window,

opening the vast atlas of the stars and the treasure box, full of nightmares
Let us praise this night, our Second Coming, where the legend of the stars on land become a reality

“The sacred star which shall lead us to glory has appeared tonight
The star, which shall shine upon us for years and years to come
A streak of light which guides billions
seeking their way to the land of the promise,
has flooded the sky full of stars, for thou, who may stray.
Even if this blessed blue planet were to end up in smithereens,
were to end up obliterating all the blessings and hopes of man,”
My luminous dream of that night, shall remain untouched,
blessed, as residues elsewhere in the vast vast universe.
I happen to make such a wish upon the stars.
‘Till the last streak of light fades beneath the horizon,
I’ll pray and wish for the blessings which shall be brought about by that sacred star
which I’d longed for,
lamenting,
Thoughts turning to the dream I saw that day.

If, the light, which we had been waiting for
from long, long, long, long, long long ago,
had been shining the brightest of all the stars,
resting upon the foundation of the sacrifice of millions of our blessings?

“Once had a dream
Which shall be aspired for, elsewhere in the vast world,
and shall be passed down from generation to generation, under the name of those three Magi”
such words shall be addressed, as the first men did, as she did, as the last recall on our sacred blessings.

“Soon, the sky that had fallen, that star of the sacred promise, gleaming golden,
and the birds high up in the sky, all ironically and faithfully alike,
shall see its downfall and
join the glorious, beautiful, harmonized hymn of life”
If so, this heartbeat of mine would be, and shall be,
the new hope of a succeeding promise.
‘Till the day some man comes by to this ephemeral wish,
Goodbye, the sacred star of Bethlehem.

“What do you wish upon the stars?”
