Cryin' all alone through midnight
Every breath a drifting sigh
Waiting endlessly// to meet the morning sunlight
Life is sure to change now, I can feel in my heart
A vision from afar, a voice of perspicacity

Every one of us is born, but not a one can tell you why
And at the very start our natural inclination is to cry

And the rainbow of music, your heard coming through
in the pouring rain so strong
Might have seemed to you like singing sounds, but the scream was not a song

The flicker of that melody lit the cavern in my heart
Like an old familiar sound, and splitting the notes apart

Trembling emotions, overdoing motions
All about the future in our way
Wearisome creation, want emancipation
Tell me we can laugh it all away

With the light of our hope to be free of the darkness
Can we reach our dreams?
We need to find that primal melody

Take the road you take, and you'll make the worth you make,
But living in regret would be// your only big mistake

The way you were sobbing I thought you weren't trying
to understand my pleas
But it's now becoming clear that you// were shouting just like me

Yet to write my story still, feeling lost inside a maze
Hard to hear my voice alone, in this misty haze

Bitten off too much, gotta show so much
Overreaching needs a steady hand
Jealousy is too hard, having gotten this far
Do I expect to reach the end?

Somehow hoping to start it and helpless to end it
Spiraling away
The truth is not out there it's here with me

Back to crying all alone now
But If I paint the night all over
At least I'll wake with a different song to sing

Troubling emotions, overrated motions
Human nature getting in our way
Worrisome creation, need emancipation
Anywhere to laugh it all away

Carry the light of our hope to be free of the darkness
Can we touch our dreams?
