January 12th is Coming of Age Day in Japan.
It's the day when new adults make up their minds to join the ranks of adults.
On my way home from my first shrine visit of the year on January 1st, I felt a slightly mystical mood and thought of the new adults around me.
And recently, out of necessity, I tried using some English, which I've only just started learning at an age when I'm still slow to remember things.
Congratulations to all the new adults.
The world is a lot more chaotic than it was when I was younger.
