Going down the streets asleep
not a sound to disturb, not a cheep
following the whirling draft
through the silent darkness to the depth of night

Gentle lights of the crescent fall
revealing his face in the casted pall
What is grasped in his left hand
shining so cold like a magic wand?

Picking up all the pieces and parts
of this world, now falling apart
holding the flame of unchanging mind
mending all he can find

It’s a rule that nobody can bend,
a system made never to end
All he can do is carry on
silently, one by one


The thread of silk came to an end
looking up to find no other needles left
Slowly dropping to my knee
there’s no helping hand now to share the deed

Looking down into the stream
how tattered and ramshackle do I seem!
Looking up to the sky and pray
“Oh let this be only a dream or play”

Overwhelmed by the work I must care
sleep brings me a burning nightmare
Sky is falling into the flames
leaving nothing the same

Agitated by visions so harsh
I stagger to my feet in rush
As the sun always rises and sets
I must follow my fate


Seam it, hold them tight
all the marvelous lights


Not a cloud to be seen in the sky
leaning onto the boulder and sighed
Gentle breeze is brushing on my cheek
I can hear gentle whispers of “Good night”


Frayed, and frayed
Falling back to pieces
all once gathered to make up this world
But not lost yet, it’s still connected,
still there to go on

Evanescent thread of hope
ad interim seams the fragments of this world back to one
in return for a life most precious,
life forever lost

Cold like stone
in his right hand lays a bouquet of white gardenia
A send-off gift for the lonesome soul
to rest back in the heavenly sky

Left behind
the world is now facing an endless threat of dystopia
but for now we shall harbor hope
in short eternity
