They say that the destination doesn't matter at all
nor the place you call home
The important thing is the journey to your end goal
Eight thousand and thirty days down

*Chorus
Once again I gather my courage
for the road that lies ahead of me today
“Don't hold your breath, I'm right here with you”
so said an angel whom I once knew
“Don't hold your breath. I'm right here with you”
so said an angel who left too soon
From that slope, those cities
shone like stones beneath the sky
Reverie, memories replay like home movies
Regret with distress and anger filled my weakened heart
I felt so small against the world
as I ran away from reality
Dreams were just dreams 'till I wanted to fly
Sadness consumed me until I made true friends
To struggle is to live
And to cry means to let go
*Chorus pt. 2
Once again I gather my courage
for the road that lies ahead of me
It's time to say goodbye to the past
and start a new game plus
Right here, right now
「もういい加減にしろよ!」Mou iikagen ni shiroyo - That's enough already!
「まだ生きたいよ!!」Mada ikitai yo - I STILL WANT TO LIVE!!
「もう二度と戻れない」 Mou niidoto modorenai - I will never go back (to that again)
I know that I can't change the past
I know the present is all I have
I know that my future still hangs by the thin threads woven by the fates
When the exemplar of mourning has been defeated,
I will hear the bells toll and your voice from Shangri-La
Will you guide me there, O Heavenly Mother
or will you leave me once again?
Left behind with no more chances
「ヒキコモリ - 回復の道」Hikikomori - The Path To Recovery lyrics
ENG: Life is a journey that has a beginning & ending for all of us. Some of us will get the good ending & some will have their journey cut short. Either way, we all start with a clean slate to draw our own paths on. I poured over a decade's worth of joy & grief into writing “Hikikomori” for this new Kiyoteru album. I hope that for those still stuck in the past or in the present, may find a fraction of comfort in the words of my song. Thank you.
"Hikikomori - The Path To Recovery" is part of the Hiyama Kiyoteru compilation ablum "KiyoteruQuest"that's available on Bandcamp, iTunes, Apple Music & Spotify now
